Chad Harmon leads the Cyber Threat Intelligence function for IHG Hotels & Resorts as part of the organization’s Security Operations and Fusion Center. In this capacity, he works across the business to promote and facilitate threat-driven, intelligence-led cybersecurity through focused collection, analysis, and dissemination of actionable cyber threat intelligence. He joined IHG in August 2021 from the U.S. Department of State, where he served in both Diplomatic Security and the Office of the Coordinator for Cyber Issues. A few career shifts prior, Chad also served as a high school teacher for one school year, a memorable experience that he hopes to never repeat. He holds multiple certifications and degrees, including a master’s degree from Texas A&M University.
