Tyler Compton started his IT career while living in his hometown of Rome, nestled in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range in North Georgia. After obtaining the CompTIA A+ certification, Tyler committed to a one and a half hour commute every day for the first 3 years of his career. During this time, Tyler gained Cisco certifications and worked his way up through the specialization of networking to the level of a Network Engineer. After assisting in several incident response and recovery operations in an infrastructure support role, Tyler became fascinated with the field of information security. Once again realigning his sights, and deciding on a new career goal, Tyler earned both the CompTIA PenTest+ and CySA+ certifications.

Since dedicating himself to the pursuit of Information Security Tyler has supported Compliance audits, developed risk analysis frameworks, and architected security management programs from scratch for numerous organizations. Most of this experience comes by way of working as a Managed Service provider and Security Consultant for major hospitality organizations and attractions across the United States. In 2022, Tyler identified room to grow and develop into an Information Technology leader, and joined the team at Aaron’s, inc. as the Lead Security Engineer for the Attack and Threat Services team. The development of this ATS team was tasked to Tyler’s direct supervisor John Dearman. Under his direction, and with the support of Jonathan Buckner, Tyler has led the ATS team to many operational victories and security posture milestones.
